As part of a series of two environmental seminars held back-to-back in each region of the International Civil Aviation Organization (ICAO), the International Aviation and Environment Seminar will be held from 18-19 March 2015, and the States' Action Plans Seminar will be held from 19-20 March 2015, in Warsaw, Poland, for the European and North Atlantic (EUR/NAT) Region. The seminars are supporting ICAO Member States in their efforts to institute climate-friendly aviation. The first seminar, intended for civil aviation, environment, energy, industry, civil society, academia, and National Action Plan (NAP) representatives, as well as the general public, will cover: aviation and environmental outlook, aircraft noise, local air quality, global emissions, sustainable alternative fuels, market-based measures, technology, operations, green airports, States' action plans, assistance to States and financing. The second seminar is for NAP Focal Points to learn about ICAO Guidance on State Action Plans; the Action Plan Emissions Reduction (APER) website, supporting documents and ICAO tools; assistance for the implementation of the Action Plan; and States' best practices.
