The High-Level Policy Conference of EU Sustainable Energy Week (EUSEW), organized by the European Commission, will gather representatives from all levels of government, academia, civil society and the private sector to discuss energy in Europe. The focus this year will be on topics key to achieving the EU's 2020 climate and energy targets on climate change, renewables, energy efficiency. Specifically, topics for the 2014 event will include: energy efficiency in buildings, products, industry and transport; renewables for electricity, heating and cooling; transport fuels; energy markets including electricity and gas grid issues, the internal energy market and support schemes; local and regional energy planning; financing; and energy beyond 2020.
