The High-Level Expert Group Meeting, co-organized by the Government of Israel, through MASHAV (Israel’s Agency for International Development Cooperation) and the Ministry of Agriculture, and the UN Conference on Sustainable Development (UNCSD, or Rio+20) Secretariat, seeks to raise awareness of the central role that green and sustainable agriculture can play to stimulate economic growth and combat poverty through the sharing of know-how, best practices and lessons learned.
