In preparation for the UN Conference on Housing and Sustainable Urban Development (Habitat III), open-ended informal consultative meetings will provide an opportunity for feedback on the conclusions of the Habitat III Policy Units and the regional and thematic meetings. The zero draft outcome document is expected to be released in May 2016, and will be the first draft of the New Urban Agenda, the outcome document that will be agreed to at Habitat III, convening from 17-20 October 2016, in Quito, Ecuador. Following these open-ended informal consultative meetings the Bureau of the Preparatory Committee (PrepCom) will convene informal intergovernmental negotiations from 18-20 May, 8-10 June and 29 June-1 July. PrepCom 3 will take place from 25-27 July in Surabaya, Indonesia.
