This event is being organized by the International Telecommunications Union (ITU) and the Global e-Sustainability Initiative (GeSI) during “Climate Week NYC,” which will take place from 20-26 September in New York, US. This workshop will present case studies of innovation in low-carbon technologies. The event will also cover, inter alia: the role of “green” ICT initiatives and applications in reducing carbon dioxide emissions; ensuring sustainable development and green growth; and how the Information and Communication Technology (ICT) industry can promote awareness and implementation of “green” ICTs.
