GLOBE CBD COP 13 Legislators Forum

Held at the margins of the the concurrent thirteenth meeting of the Conference of the Parties to the Convention on Biological Diversity (COP 13) and the meetings of the Parties to the Cartagena and Nagoya Protocols (COP-MOP 8 and COP-MOP 2), this event will provide a forum for legislators from around the world to discuss strategies for implementing the CBD's 2011-2020 Strategic Plan for Biodiversity through focused legislative leadership. Participants will have the opportunity to exchange views and discuss challenges and opportunities for synergies with other global global agreements including the 2030 Agenda and the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs). A lunchtime side event will focus on the integration of biodiversity objectives in forest governance in Mexico and Colombia. The International Legislators Forum event is co-organized by the Global Legislators Organization (GLOBE International) the Government of Mexico and the CBD Secretariat.
