Global Symposium on Urban and Territorial Planning

The first Global Symposium on Urban and Territorial Planning (GSUTP), convening under the theme ‘Improving Planning for More Sustainable Cities and Territories,’ will provide an opportunity to discuss in an international forum the role of the International Guidelines on Urban and Territorial Planning (IG-UTP) in the implementation of the New Urban Agenda (NUA), following the ninth session of the World Urban Forum (WUF 9) in February 2018, and SDG 11 (sustainable cities and communities).

The symposium is organized by the UN Human Settlements Programme (UN-Habitat), in partnership with the Ministry of Land, Infrastructure, Transport and Tourism (MLIT) of the Government of Japan, the City of Fukuoka and Seinan Gakuin University.
