28-30 November 2018 Brussels, Belgium
Global Science, Technology and Innovation Conference (G-STIC) 2018

G-STIC aims to accelerate the development, dissemination, and deployment of technology innovations that enable the achievement of the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs).

G-STIC 2018 will build on the results of G-STIC 2017 and further discuss the policy changes needed for the technological transition to sustainable societies. In addition, the different thematic sessions will dive deeper into integrated technological solutions with significant impact on the SDGs, and further strengthen the multi-stakeholder communities around the different thematic clusters of G-STIC. G-STIC 2018 will take place from 28-30 November, in Brussels, Belgium.

The first edition of G-STIC took place in Brussels from 23-25 October, and was attended by more than 1.000 participants representing policymakers, technology researchers, business and industry captains, and civil society. A SDG Knowledge Hub summary of G-STIC 2017 is here.

The G-STIC series is hosted jointly by VITO (a leading independent and not-for-profit research and technology organization in Belgium) and its international partners ACTS (African Centre for Technology Studies, Kenya), Fiocruz (Oswaldo Cruz Foundation, Brazil), IITD (Indian Institute of Technology Delhi, India) and TERI (The Energy and Resources Institute, India).
