The Organization for Economic Co-operation and Development's (OECD) Global Forum on Development 2016 will convene under the theme, ‘From Commitment to Actual Implementation of the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs): Policies, data and financing.' The Forum will focus on how to: optimize national policies and strategies; leverage the data revolution to track progress on the SDGs; scale up and strengthen rural initiatives to support the SDGs; and maximize resources through innovative partnerships. It is expected to bring together governments, international organizations, businesses, foundations, and others to discuss questions related to the policies, financing and data needed to implement the SDGs, including how to leverage policy dialogue and peer learning to implement the SDGs. Sessions will take place on: global trends expected to affect the progress of the SDGs, such as climate change, demography, fragility, and migration; localizing the SDGs, with a focus on domestic approaches that incorporate the multi-dimensionality of poverty; data for development; and financing for development (FfD) and implementing the Addis Ababa Action Agenda (AAAA).
