GFEP Report Launch: 10 Years of REDD+: Outcomes and Socio-Ecological Impacts on Forests, Carbon, Biodiversity and People

This event will feature the launch of the Global Forest Expert Panels (GFEP) Report “10 Years of REDD+: Outcomes and Socio-Ecological Impacts on Forests, Carbon, Biodiversity and People”.

The report follows up and updates the latest available knowledge on the effects of REDD+ implementation and will address questions such as:

  • how have the governance and operationalization of REDD+ changed in the last years?
  • what are the outcomes and influences on carbon, biodiversity, and well-being of implementing REDD+?
  • what challenges is the mechanism facing? and
  • what are the lessons learnt and what are possible pathways into the future?

The report is, among other things, expected to inform ongoing policy discussions on the 2030 Agenda for Sustainable Development, as well as other processes including on climate change, biodiversity, and forests.
