The Group on Earth Observations (GEO) community will gather in Washington, DC, US, for GEO Week 2017, which will include the GEO-XIV Plenary, side events and exhibitions. The Week will highlight and promote the role, applications and opportunities to use Earth observations (EO) in delivering the GEO Week 2017 theme, 'Insight for a changing world'.
The Plenary is GEO's highest decision-making body. The GEO-XIV Plenary will update delegates on developments in Earth observation services that impact both public sector decision making and the commercial sector. It will highlight the progress and projects in GEO's priority work in the service of the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), the Sendai Framework on Disaster Risk Reduction and the Paris Agreement on Climate Change.
