The Gender Equality Advisory Council for Canada’s G7 Presidency will meet virtually to discuss how to promote a transformative G7 agenda and support Leaders and ministers in ensuring that gender equality and gender-based analysis are integrated across all themes, activities and outcomes of Canada’s G7 Presidency. A face-to-face meeting of the Gender Equality Advisory Council for Canada’s G7 Presidency will take place in April.

The 2018 Group of Seven (G7) Leaders' Summit will convene under the presidency of Canada in Charlevoix, Quebec, from 8-9 June 2018.

The five themes for discussion during Canada's presidency are: investing in growth that works for everyone; preparing for jobs of the future; advancing gender equality and women's empowerment; working together on climate change, oceans and clean energy; and building a more peaceful and secure world.
