The dates for the 39th GEF Council meeting were selected at the end of the November 2009 meeting of the GEF Council (http://thegef.org/uploadedfiles/C.36.%20Joint%20Summary.final.pdf). The GEF Council Meeting will develop, adopt and evaluate GEF programs. Council members representing 32 constituencies (16 from developing countries, 14 from developed countries, and two from countries with transitional economies) will be represented at the Council Meeting. An NGO Consultation will be held on 15 November 2010.
