G7 Summit

The leaders of Canada, France, Germany, Italy, Japan, the United Kingdom (UK), the US, the President of the European Council and the President of the European Commission (EC) will convene for a G7 Summit from the evening of 4 June through the morning of 5 June 2014.

Leaders are expected to discuss: the situation in Ukraine and relations with the Russian Federation; climate change and development; energy security; the global economy; trade; and other foreign policy topics.

The 40th meeting of the G8 summit was scheduled to be held in the Russian Federation in June 2014. At their meeting in The Hague, the Netherlands in March 2014, the G7 leaders decided to hold a meeting without the Russian Federation, due to the Crimean crisis.
