The G7 Environment and Energy Ministers will meet on the theme of 'Working together on climate change, oceans and clean energy.' The meeting will take place in October 2018 in Canada.
To feed into this meeting, Canada will host the 'Women Leaders Kicking It on Climate Summit.' This Summit will include a dialogue on how climate action can be gender responsive and how it can contribute to gender equity and the empowerment of women.
The 2018 Group of Seven (G7) Leaders' Summit will convene under the presidency of Canada in Charlevoix, Quebec, from 8-9 June 2018.
The five themes for discussion during Canada's presidency are: investing in growth that works for everyone; preparing for jobs of the future; advancing gender equality and women's empowerment; working together on climate change, oceans and clean energy; and building a more peaceful and secure world.
