The UN Industrial Development Organization (UNIDO) will hold its fourth Inclusive and Sustainable Industrial Development (ISID) Forum on the theme 'Partnerships: Moving Sustainable Development Goal (SDG) 9 into action,' during its 16th General Conference. The forum aims to address how UNIDO can contribute to advancing industry, infrastructure and innovation in the context of SDG 9 on sustainable industrialization, and will highlight the achievements of UNIDO's new Programme for Country Partnership (PCP), which is being piloted in Ethiopia and Senegal, and is expected to be extended to a number of other countries in Asia and Latin America. The first day of the high-level panel discussion will focus on the potential of multi-stakeholder partnerships for creating linkages and synergies between infrastructure investment, industrial development and investment in innovation. The second day will showcase the first concrete achievements made in the operationalization of the partnership approach in Ethiopia and Senegal. An introduction of PCP in Peru will follow. The event will be moderated by former CNN presenter Todd Benjamin.
