The Fourth Green Industry Conference (GIC) will convene under the theme, ‘Green Industry for Sustainable Cities'. The conference will bring together over 500 representatives from government, the private sector, industry associations, civil society and academia to explore the interdependence between cities and industry in the context of eco-innovation, green technology and resource efficiency. Key topics of discussion will include: sharing urban experiences and synergies among cities; international cooperation for sustainable industry and cities; and Korean green strategy in urban industrial areas, with insights from Ulsan. The event will include field visits to eco-industrial parks and state-of-the-art manufacturing sites. The UN Industrial Development Organization (UNIDO), the Ministry of Trade, Industry and Energy and the Ulsan Metropolitan City are organizing the conference, with support from the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Korea.
