8-10 October 2014 Marrakesh, Marrakech, Morocco
Fourth Climate Change and Development Conference (CCDA-IV)

In recognition of 2014 as the year of agriculture, the fourth Climate Change and Development Conference (CCDA-IV) will take place under the theme 'Africa Can Feed Africa Now: Translating Climate Knowledge into Action'. This iteration of the conference is exploring how evolving knowledge of climate can create sustainable agricultural production systems in Africa, so that it can feed itself and support the socio-economic development of its people. The impact of climate change on vulnerable groups, such as farmers, women, youth and pastoralists, will be at the center of the discussions. Each year, CCDA brings together stakeholders from civil society, academia, the policy arena and intergovernmental organizations to discuss the interrelationships between climate change and development, with a focus on opportunities, best practices, different approaches, strategies and planning. The event is organized under the auspices of the Climate for Development in Africa (ClimDev-Africa) Programme, which is a consortium of the African Union Commission (AUC), the UN Economic Commission for Africa (UNECA) and the African Development Bank (AfDB).
