Forests Indonesia: Alternative Futures to Meet Demands for Food, Fibre, Fuel and REDD+

This event will provide a platform for leaders of government, parliament, the international and national business community, civil society and the research and development sector to discuss the challenges and opportunities faced by Indonesia in the sustainable use of its forests. It will focus on a series of forums under two themes: trade and investment: implications for forests; and REDD+ (reducing emissions from deforestation and forest degradation in developing countries, as well as conservation, sustainable management of forests and enhancement of carbon stocks) in transition to a low-carbon future.
