The UN Economic Commission for Europe (UNECE) and the Food and Agriculture Organization of the UN (FAO) will convene the Forest Congress for the Caucasus and Central Asia to address recent forest developments in the region.

The meeting will discuss the state of forests of the Caucasus and Central Asia, national-level forest monitoring systems and forest landscape restoration (FLR), among other topics. The Congress will feature the Forest Landscape Restoration Day, co-organized with the International Union for Conservation of Nature (IUCN) on 30 May.
