First OECD-Base Erosion and Profit Shifting (BEPS) Meeting

The Organisation for Economic Co-operation and Development (OECD) has agreed on a new framework that will allow all interested countries and jurisdictions to work jointly for the implementation of the package of measures against base erosion and profit shifting (BEPS). This framework will bring together interested countries and jurisdictions as Associates on an equal footing with OECD and the G20 countries in the OECD's Committee on Fiscal Affairs to develop international standards related to BEPS and to review and monitor the implementation of the whole BEPS package. The first meeting will convene from 30 June-1 July 2016, in Kyoto, Japan. During this meeting, senior-level representatives of the members of the framework are expected to take decisions on the governance, structure and work programme of the framework, including the monitoring process of the four minimum standards and the timing of the implementation of the other elements of the BEPS Package.
