This is a ministerial-level meeting of the Global Partnership for Effective Development Cooperation, which will bring together governments, civil society, the private sector and international institutions to discuss ways to maximize the benefits of development aid and strengthen existing programmes through coordination. The Global Partnership was established at the Fourth High-Level Forum on Aid Effectiveness (HLF-4) held in Busan, the Republic of Korea, in 2011. The Global Partnership promotes dialogue and exchange of best practices with regard to implementing principles for effective cooperation, such as results-oriented management, inclusive development partnerships, transparency and mutual accountability.
