First Global Methane Initiative Workshop and Exhibition in the Middle East

The Saudi Ministry of Petroleum and Mineral Resources is hosting this Global Methane Initiative (GMI) workshop to disseminate technical information, present profit-generating technologies and share best practices that cost-effectively reduce methane emissions. Saudi Arabia is a member of the GMI, which is an international public-private initiative that advances cost-effective, near-term methane abatement and recovery and use of methane as a clean energy source in the agricultural, coal mine, municipal solid waste, oil and gas, and wastewater sectors. The event is being organized in cooperation with Saudi Aramco, the US Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) and the UN Climate and Clean Air Coalition to Reduce Short-Lived Climate Pollutants (CCAC).
