The Division for Sustainable Development (DSD) of the UN Department for Economic and Social Development (DESA) will host a Google+ Hangout as part of its ongoing follow up to the UN Conference on Sustainable Development (UNCSD, or Rio+20). The event will highlight major Rio+20 outcomes and key follow up processes. The event will feature four UN and civil society experts on Rio+20 and sustainable development: Nikhil Seth, UNDESA Director; Elizabeth Thompson, Rio+20 Executive Coordinator; Kimo Goree, International Institute for Sustainable Development Reporting Services (IISD RS) Vice-President; and Jacob Scherr, National Resources Defense Council (NRDC) Director of Global Strategy and Advocacy. The Google+ Hangout will include a 20-minute live question-and-answer session with the four panelists. Participants can post questions on the Sustainable Development Knowledge Platform Facebook page or tweet questions to @SustDev using #SDinAction.
