The Basel Convention Expert Working Group will discuss, inter alia: pilot projects to demonstrate environmentally sound management (ESM); draft guidance to assist parties in developing efficient strategies for achieving the prevention and minimization of the generation of hazardous and other wastes and their disposal; manuals on extended producer responsibility (EPR) and financing systems for ESM; and development of an internet portal for information gathering and sharing.
