This consultation will facilitate international dialogue among Members of the Food and Agriculture Organization of the UN (FAO) on low levels of genetically modified (GM) crops in international food and feed trade. It aims to raise awareness and improve understanding of the issue and its causes, as well as potential impacts on international trade and food security. Participants will consider several technical studies and surveys prepared by FAO and a series of presentations by technical experts and practitioners.
