The conference on 'Ending Poverty: The Road to 2030' is organized by the World Bank Group in partnership with UN Department of Economic and Social Affairs (DESA) and the UN Development Programme (UNDP). Its outcomes will serve as inputs to the 2017 session of the UN High-level Political Forum on Sustainable Development (HLPF), which this year will conduct an in-depth review of SDG 1 (no poverty), among other SDGs. The event will highlight progress to date on reducing extreme poverty, identify barriers to further progress, convene country representatives to reflect on real-life lessons and progress, and highlight and share the World Bank Group’s work and analysis of ending global extreme poverty by 2030 and boosting shared prosperity in every country.
