The webinar “Exchange of Lessons Learnt and Good Practices regarding MRV Systems from Eastern and Southern Africa” will explore the key elements and characteristics of robust national measurement, reporting and verification (MRV) systems in the context of the UN Framework Convention on Climate Change (UNFCCC) and the Paris Agreement.
The event places an emphasis on sharing lessons learnt and good practices, which it intends to achieve by presenting practical examples from countries in Eastern and Southern Africa and having an exchange of ideas on these examples. Further, some examples of support available for developing MRV systems will also be presented.
This webinar is organized by the Regional Collaboration Centre (RCC) Kampala with the support of the UNFCCC Secretariat and the UN Environment Programme (UNEP) through the Global Support Programme (GSP).
