ESCAP SDG Week

The UN Economic and Social Commission for Asia and the Pacific (ESCAP) is organizing a week of dialogue among representatives of government, academia, international organizations, the private sector and civil society, on challenges involved in implementing the 2030 Agenda for Sustainable Development, including the 17 Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs). Participants will be invited to provide feedback on the support needed from ESCAP and other development partners. ESCAP SDG Week will focus on: follow-up and review of the 2030 Agenda; means of implementation (MOI); support to countries with special needs; urban governance and local-level implementation; integrated approaches for SDG 6 (water and sanitation); trade, investment and technology; gender issues; youth issues; International Investment Agreements (IIAs); macroeconomic policies; and agricultural trade. Several Expert Group Meetings (EGMs), workshops and side events will take place during the week.
