The first phase of the preparatory process for the global compact for safe, orderly and regular migration will include preparatory meetings by the UN Regional Commissions. The UN Economic and Social Commission for Asia and the Pacific (ESCAP) will organize a regional preparatory meeting in Bangkok, Thailand, from 6-8 November 2017.
