The UN Economic and Social Council's (ECOSOC) integration segment will focus on the theme, ‘iCommunities: leveraging technology and innovation to build sustainable and resilient societies’. The Integration Segment meets annually to help UN Member States and others map ways to achieve “the three pillars of sustainable development—economic, social and environmental,” with an emphasis on current issues of global concern.
