In accordance with UN General Assembly resolution 68/1, the Economic and Social Council (ECOSOC) will strengthen and further promote dialogue on and implementation of the financing for development (FFD) agenda, including by strengthening the special high-level meeting with the World Bank, the International Monetary Fund (IMF), the World Trade Organization (WTO) and the UN Conference on Trade and Development (UNCTAD). The Council will allocate specific time for deliberation and consideration of the follow-up to the International Conference on Financing for Development. The Global Dialogue on financing for development will convene on 14-15 April 2014.
