Organized jointly by the Economic Commission for Latin America and the Caribbean (ECLAC) and the Government of Chile, this regional consultation will discuss the extent of progress and agree upon future activities related to the Third International Conference on Financing for Development (FfD3), to be held in Addis Ababa in July 2015. In particular, the consultation will cover the following topics: systemic issues-financial, trade and technological asymmetries; changes in the development financial landscape; taking stock and moving ahead – the road towards FfD3 and the post-2015 development agenda; mobilization of domestic resources – fiscal space, private finance and illicit flows, and the role of development banks; and new and innovative financial instruments and non-traditional forms of cooperation. The consultation will be attended by authorities and ministers from various countries in the region as well as senior representatives from the UN and other regional organizations.
