The World We Want 2015 Platform is hosting an e-discussion on why energy matters, challenges and opportunities related to energy and ways to address such challenges. The discussion will take place between 16 January-8 February. Topics of discussion include achieving universal energy access, increasing renewable energy, improving energy efficiency and exploring the energy-sustainable development nexus. Viewers are invited to comment, discuss and debate key questions on this topic through the online platform. This e-discussion is one of four online consultations that are part of the Global Thematic Consultation on Energy, which aims to build consensus on a set of global objectives and priorities for energy within the post-2015 development agenda. This consultation is co-led by UN-Energy and the Secretary General’s Sustainable Energy For All Initiative (SE4ALL) and supported by the Governments of Mexico and Norway.
