This Supreme Audit Institutions (SAI) Leadership and Stakeholders meeting will address the theme, 'Contributions of Supreme Audit Institutions to the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs)'. The meeting will take place following the ministerial segment of the High-level Political Forum on Sustainable Development (HLPF).

This meeting is jointly organized by the United Nations Department of Social and Economic Affairs (UNDESA) and the INTOSAI Development Initiative (IDI). It will draw on the discussions from the first meeting, which was held immediately following HLPF 2017.

Participants will reflect on the experience and lessons learned from auditing preparedness for SDG implementation, and present relevant audit findings, recommendations and reports from different regions. Discussions also aim to facilitate mutual understanding and dialogue between SAIs and external stakeholders regarding SDG implementation and the role of SAIs, and identify stakeholders’ expectations on the contributions of SAIs to the 2030 Agenda.
