The UN Office for Sustainable Development (UNOSD) is organizing this workshop in order to provide an initial mapping of sustainability knowledge assets, activities and actors, allowing for better definition of needs and priorities in policy-making knowledge and capacity, particularly in the post-Rio+20 (UN Conference for Sustainable Development, or UNCSD) context. The Workshop will convene experts in the field of sustainability knowledge representing governments, UN system entities, development banks and civil society to assess the capacities and knowledge needs for making the transition towards sustainable development and consolidating a global network of peer practitioners and organisations. This meeting previously was scheduled for 3-5 December 2012.
