The European Commission (EC), in cooperation with the Directorate-General for Energy and the Directorate-General for Enterprise and Industry, is organizing a conference under the theme 'How to shape Energy Policy so as to boost European competitiveness?'. The conference aims to analyze how the EU can achieve stable and affordable energy prices, increase industrial competitiveness and simultaneously meet climate and environmental objectives. Topics of discussion will include, inter alia, domestic energy resources, taxes and the EU emissions trading system (ETS). Participants will include high-level representatives of national and European institutions, authorities, industry, research centers, academics, civil society, political decision-makers and industry Chief Executive Officers (CEOs).
