The Conference on Bioenergy and Development will bring together experts and practitioners to discuss ‘The investment case for sustainable production systems'. The conference will identify ways that bioenergy can provide equitable access to energy while contributing to livelihoods, income and growth without compromising food production, ecosystem services and productive land use. It will address how bioenergy can meet growing energy needs; contribute to the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs); and combat climate change. The conference will be organized around a technical session and high-level panel. The event is being co-organized by the Institute for Advanced Sustainability Studies (IIAS) and the World Agroforestry Center.
