With a view to supporting ambitious climate action, the 12th Conference of Youth (COY 12) will begin on the date of entry into force of the Paris Agreement and continue through 6 November, immediately prior to the start of the Marrakech Climate Change Conference. COY 12 will focus on the role of education and capacity building in enabling young people to enact positive change and take effective action for the climate. The event will highlight the importance of including youth in decision making processes, especially to ensure effective implementation of the Paris Agreement. This year's Conference is being organized by Moroccan youth organizations and YOUNGO, the youth constituency of the UNFCCC. COY 12 outcomes will be presented at 'Young and Future Generations Day' in Marrakech on 10 November.
