World Climate Ltd and the World Business Council for Sustainable Development (WBCSD) are collaborating to provide a complementary series of activities over two days, alongside the 19th session of the Conference of the Parties (COP 19) to the UN Framework Convention on Climate Change (UNFCCC), to create a business platform for debate and action. Day 1 – World Climate Summit on The Road to Paris – will focus on providing key public and private sector solutions and a business process to complement the agreement reached in Paris. Key drivers discussed will include finance enabling, energy transformation, sustainable innovation and public-private partnerships (PPPs). Day 2, the World Business Council on Sustainable Development's (WBCSD) Business Day on Climate Solutions in Action will focus on business ideas that contribute to closing the ambition gap and longer-term solutions, and the convergence of activities and agendas, which will be critical for a successful agreement in Paris 2015.
