The Climate Engineering Conference 2017 (CEC17) will bring together the research, policy and civic communities to discuss the ethical, social and technical issues related to climate engineering. Hosted by the Institute for Advanced Sustainability Studies (IASS), with funding from the Government of Germany, the conference will address approaches for both Carbon Dioxide Removal (CDR) and Solar Radiation Management (SRM), also known as Albedo Modification, situating them within broader discussions of climate change and, in particular, mitigation and adaptation.
