Civil Society and Youth Alliances for Mainstreaming Biodiversity to Well-being Forum

Organized by the Government of Mexico through the Secretariat of Environment and Natural Resources and the Reforestamos México, A.C., in cooperation with the Secretariat of the Convention on Biological Diversity (CBD), this Forum will provide an opportunity for members of civil society and youth to exchange experiences on achieving CBD objectives and its Strategic Plan for Biodiversity 2011-2020. Through the forum, civil society and youth will generate a statement that outlines their contribution to the theme of the 13th meeting of the Conference of Parties (COP 13) to the CBD, ‘Biodiversity Mainstreaming for Well-being.’ The forum will also: support capacity-building and strengthening of civil society and youth with regard to CBD implementation; identify practices, experiences and strengths for mainstreaming biodiversity in selected sectors; and promote alliances of civil society and youth.
