The 2022 Annual General Meeting (AGM) of the China Council for International Cooperation on Environment and Development (CCICED) will focus on the theme: Building an Inclusive, Green and Low-Carbon Economy.

During the AGM, Council Members will have opportunities to share views as CCICED formulates its policy recommendations to the Chinese Government. The AGM programme will also feature open forums on emerging environmental issues as well as presentations of CCICED policy research outputs.

Topics will include:

• building a green Belt and Road Initiative together to boost global green and low-carbon transition;
• steady growth – synergies among economic growth, energy security and climate actions; and
• nature-based solutions and eco-benefits assessment.

The AGM will also include an open forum on the CCICED's 30th anniversary, focusing on the topic “Towards a Green and Prosperous Future.”

The meeting will take place in a hybrid format, both in person in Beijing, China, and online.
