The High Level Assembly of the Climate & Clean Air Coalition to Reduce Short-Lived Climate Pollutants (CCAC) will take place in November 2017, on the margins of the 23rd session of the Conference of the Parties (COP 23) to the UN Framework Convention on Climate Change (UNFCCC). The CCAC was first created by the Governments of Bangladesh, Canada, Ghana, Mexico, Sweden and the US, along with UN Environment (UNEP), who initiated the first efforts to treat short-lived climate pollutants as a collective challenge. The Coalition’s High Level Assembly provides strategic guidance and leadership for the Coalition. Government ministers from country partners and Heads of partner organizations participate in the Assembly.
