CBD Workshop on Synergies between REDD+ and Ecosystem Conservation and Restoration in NBSAPs

Organized by the Secretariat of the Convention on Biological Diversity (CBD), in collaboration with the UN Environment Programme World Conservation Monitoring Centre (UNEP-WCMC) and the Central African Forest Commission (COMIFAC), this workshop aims to support Central African countries in: the development of national targets and plans for ecosystem conservation and restoration within the framework of the Aichi targets; integrating targets, as well as REDD+ actions, into updated national biodiversity strategies and action plans (NBSAPs); and demonstrating the appropriate data-gathering processes, assessments, policies and tools for implementing a coherent approach to targets and REDD+ actions.
