Canada in the Post-2015 World: Outcomes of the Paris Climate Change Conference and the SDGs

The International Institute for Sustainable Development (IISD) is hosting a half-day panel to discuss the implications of the Paris Climate Change Conference and the SDGs for Canada and the international community.The Paris Agreement marks a historic breakthrough: all governments agreed to tackle climate change through mitigation and adaptation. The Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) similarly mark a historic breakthrough, as countries agreed in September 2015 to advance coherent and universal sustainable development goals and targets. This panel discussion will consider what are in these agreements, what the key challenges in implementation are, and what it means for Canada at home and abroad.
