Call to Action Summit 2015

The Call to Action Summit 2015 will take stock of progress on ending preventable child and maternal deaths as well as sharing best practices and promoting alliances for further action. Participants will also address cross-cutting issues such as water, sanitation and nutrition as well as accountability, financing, innovation and partnerships. The Summit will take place in advance of the anticipated adoption of the post-2015 development agenda and aims to help demonstrate the importance of positioning child survival goals within the agenda. It will bring together health ministers from 24 countries that committed to the Global Call to Action for Child Survival in June 2012 as well as global leaders from the health sector, civil society, the media and other stakeholders. The Government of India is hosting the Summit with UN Children's Fund (UNICEF), the US Agency for International Development (USAID), the Bill and Melinda Gates Foundation and Tata Trusts.
