The 2016 Business and Biodiversity Forum (B&BF 2016) will take place in parallel to the Ministerial High Level Segment of the 13th Conference of the Parties (COP 13) to the Convention on Biological Diversity (CBD). The meeting, which is hosted by the Government of Mexico and the CBD Secretariat, will hold interactive panel discussions on financing; natural capital accounting; supply chains and sustainable consumption and production; climate; access and benefit sharing; and partnerships and other innovative approaches to biodiversity conservation. Business leaders will be invited to join the Business and Biodiversity Pledge to convey their commitment in biodiversity conservation and sustainable use, and in taking actions that contribute to the achievement of the CBD Strategic Plan for Biodiversity 2011-2020. This will be the first time that such a business pledge has been issued at a CBD Conference of the Parties.
