Briefing on the Partnership Data for SDGs Initiative

This briefing is organized by the Permanent Mission of Estonia to the UN, the UN Department of Economic and Social Affairs (DESA), the UN Office on Partnerships and the UN Global Compact.

The Partnership Data for SDGs (PD4SDGs) initiative is a collaboration between DESA's Division for Sustainable Development, UNOP, and the Global Compact aimed at improving the transparency, accountability and the sharing of experiences of the work being carried out by multi-stakeholder partnerships and voluntary commitments in their support to the implementation of the SDGs.

The initiative promotes the system-wide use of the established SMART criteria – a partnership/commitment that is Specific, Measurable, Achievable, Resource-based, with clear and Time-based deliverables.

The initiative is open for all entities within the UN that engage with, and promote the work of, multi-stakeholder partnerships and voluntary commitments in driving implementation of the SDGs. The briefing aims to inform member States and other stakeholders about the objectives of the Partnership Data for SDGs initiative, followed by and open dialogue with questions and answers.
