The theme for this conference is “The Water, Energy and Food Security Nexus: Solutions for the Green Economy.” This high-level, invitation-only conference is organized by the German Federal Government in collaboration with the World Economic Forum (WEF), the World Wildlife Fund (WWF) and the International Food Policy Research Institute (IFPRI). It will seek to contribute to the run-up to the UN Conference on Sustainable Development (UNCSD, or Rio+20), scheduled for June 2012.
